Fleet and District Art Society celebrated 25 years of displaying their paintings at Fleet Hospital. The display of about 30 paintings is changed every six months and a percentage of the sales goes to the Friends of Fleet Hospital’s charity.
The Vice Chairman, Harrie Gossop was present at the changeover on Saturday and she was presented with a cheque for over £100 as a donation from the society’s recent annual exhibition. She thanked the society for their continuing support and talked about the projects past, present and future that the Friends have and hope to support. These include palliative care nurses for terminally ill patients in their own home and helping the midwives who are now based at the hospital.
Fleet Art Society are proud of their continuing support and connections with the Hospital and local community as well as encouraging artists of all abilities to reach their true potential.
